NYC – violin/cello duet – Cadillac Moon Ensemble

Violinist Patti Kilroy and cellist Mike Midlarsky (both of whom play in my rock orchestra) will play my violin cello duet “A Knife in the Water” at Greenwhich House in the West Village in Manhattan NYC. This concert is a fundraiser concert for their new music ensemble, the Cadillac Moon Ensemble, and will also feature works by Timo Andres, Matthew Welch, Florent Ghys, Dominic Donato and Nicholas Deyoe.

CME has received a grant from the American Composers Forum’s Encore Program and have performed on Kathleen Supové’s Music With a View series, the Trinity Church Wall Street Concerts at One, the Vox Novus Composer’s Voice series, among others. The quartet has also collaborated with Ethos Percussion Group, TRANSIT, Sospiro Winds, and Iktus Percussion Quartet. In September 2011 CME recorded its first full album with New Dynamic Records, to be released on Innova Records.

“Knife in the Water” was commissioned by violinist Dennis Kim, concertmaster of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra (Finland) and the Finnish National Opera and has been performed at the Bowdoin Festival’s Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music and several times in NYC, and has been featured on a “Q2″ new music podcast on WQXR.

tickets are $15 general; $10 seniors & students; tickets will be sold at the door. Concert is at 6 pm.

London – premiere of a new work for solo piano

NYC – “Sunrise” for string quartet – PUBLIQuartet/Circles and Lines

The PUBLIQuartet will perform my string quartet “Zrikhat Hashemesh” (”Sunrise”) at a concert curated by the quartet and my Circles and Lines composer’s collective. Other works will be quartets by C and L members Angelica Negron, Eric Lemmon and Dylan Glatthorn, PUBLIQuartet violinist Jessie Montgomery and several NYU student composers.

This concert takes place at Vaudeville Park Gallery (26 Bushwick Ave Brooklyn, NY 11211). Admission is $10 at the door.

NYC – premiere of “Hymn to Romance” for solo double bass at CMJ festival!

Boston bassist Peter Ferretti will premiere my new solo double bass piece “A Hymn To Romance” at the CMJ festival in NYC. The concert will take place at Vaudeville Park Gallery in Brooklyn, and will also feature works by my composer’s collective Circles and Lines (Angelica Negron, Conrad Winslow, Dylan Glatthorn and Eric Lemmon).

Facebook Opera scene – King’s College London – London, UK

This will be the European premiere of my Facebook opera scene “The Morning After,” featuring a libretto constructed entirely from people’s facebook status updates. Also Thi concert featuring different combinations of works for mezzo soprano, piano and string quartet, sung by American mezzo Julia Mintzer, and featuring English pianist/composer Jean Beers and others. Featuring works by Matias Hancke de la Fuente, Brian Mark, Jean Beers, Mauricio Kagel and others.

This concert will take place in the St. David’s Roomat King’s College London, on the Strand. It is free and open to the public.

Bowdoin Festival Orchestra – Beethoven 4th piano concerto – Brunswick, ME

I will be playing in the bass section of the Bowdoin Festival Orchestra in Brunswick Maine. We are performing Beethoven’s 4th piano concerto, featuring soloist Alessandro Taverna and conducted by Ari Vardi. Also on the program is the Brahms sextet in Bb.

Tickets are $30 and doors open at 7.

I will be playing a set of acoustic versions of my rock orchestra set, opening for NFO indie folk friends The Relatives (NYC) on their Tulsa stop of their national tour to celebrate the release of their record.

This concert will be at Tulsa’s coolest bar, the Soundpony. 409 N Main St Tulsa, OK 74103, next door to the historic Cain’s Ballroom.

This concert is free, but is 21+.
