The Defiant Poet: Elegy in Memory of Yevgeny Yevtushenko

Duration: 10 minutes

Orchestral tone poem written in memory of the the late poet, with the support of the poet’s family. Premiered at the Yevgeny Yevtushenko Memorial concert, by Andrés Franco and Tulsa Signature Symphony. This piece is being performed by organizations that want to celebrate Yevtushenko’s contributions to poetry, the arts, music history and standing for the oppressed.

We Persist
